Michael Koehler

I am 25 years old, from Pittsburgh, PA. I am happily married and work as a Graphic Designer.

The work that I do is often influenced by the natural processes of life, death, and regeneration. It illustrates the dynamic between bright and dark, the feeling of stagnation within limitlessness, or the possibility of happiness within a stale nightmare. My subjects are animalistic children, strange creatures, and robotic men. The landscapes are isolated islands, with remnants or growth of civilization. Within all of this I try to keep a sense of humor. I also like to leave my work open, sometimes interrupted, giving the viewer the ingredients and letting them write their own story.
